Awareness Campaign
‘Where’s My Head?’ It is an awareness campaign for the giant prawn located on the Central Coast and the search for answers of who was involved and where the giant prawn’s head and its adjoining ligaments were ‘cut off’. The goal was to keep this news relevant within the local community, putting pressure on the thieves to, at the very least, return the sculpture’s missing pieces. These transmedia products were selected for a good reason, ‘Where’s My Head? It is a particularly niche campaign and focuses on community-based campaigning. There isn’t a particular age bracket for this campaign as many have taken an interest in the giant prawn from all ages; however, to ensure there isn’t any exclusion of older people who rarely or don’t utilise the internet for their information, more physical methods accessible in highly trafficked areas such as schools, shops and restaurants to name a few will ensure the campaign’s issue will be delivered to the audience. Overall, the outcomes have met all my expectations; having made merchandise for this campaign has made an impression on the audience when worn in public, achieving my goal of pursuing relevance and potentially a resolution for this mystery.
